Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month

June is Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month

June is Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness month, and it is time to raise awareness about the impact Alzheimer's disease has on millions of lives each year.

Did you know Alzheimer’s disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S.? It affects more than 6 million Americans, and that number is expected to increase as the population ages.

At MedNOW, we are committed to helping you understand, prevent, and manage these conditions to help you achieve the best quality of life possible.

If you think you or a loved one may be showing some early indications of Alzheimer's, there are a few signs you can look for:
• Memory Loss
• Confusion
• Difficulty completing Familiar Tasks

At MedNOW, we can offer you cognitive assessments, support, resources, and memory screenings to help detect and manage Alzheimer's.

This month, let’s take the opportunity to learn more about brain health, raise awareness, and ensure that we are taking proactive steps for our cognitive wellbeing.

If you would like to schedule an appointment to look at your mental and cognitive abilities, please call your MedNOW Clinic, or you can schedule your appointment online through our website.

The CDC provides excellent information on Alzheimer's and other brain diseases and health methods.

If you need assistance scheduling your appointment, call your MedNOW clinic. Our staff members are always willing to help!

Katherine has been a valued member of our team, providing exceptional, patient-centered care during her tenure with us. While we are sad to see her go, we are grateful for the positive impact she has made on our patients and staff alike. Dr. Galloway completed his medical education at Rocky Vista University in Parker, Colorado, and earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of North Texas. Originally from Texas, he chose family medicine to build lasting relationships with his patients and provide care that makes a meaningful impact over time. He is excited to begin seeing patients and looks forward to supporting your health journey. His interests include weightlifting, hiking, and enjoying time at the dog park with his dog, Loki. We appreciate your understanding during this transition and remain committed to providing the high-quality care you’ve come to expect at MedNOW.
